Cette deuxième édition contient en fait 105 illustrations, dont chacune est commentée par une note que j’ai rédigée à l’attention des collectionneurs du Paris d’AKAGI. Certains m’ont dit que ce recueil pouvait constituer un très bon guide sur Paris, mais mon idée n’est pas du tout de faire un guide ! Je conçois ce recueil davantage comme les mémoires d’un Japonais à Paris en 2014, retracées sous forme de 100 vues de la capitale. La traduction peut être en anglais ou en français, mais je souhaite que l’original en japonais figure en dessous.&lt;/p&gt;</text>

                <text>This book contains my special selection of 100 views of Paris in lithography. The selection was made by myself from my completed works and may therefore be regarded as my specially edited private collection. I have almost 500 original drawings of Paris after my 40 years of work. The 100 prints I selected for this book were taken from over 100 prints of those 500 drawings. I did not print them especially for this book like Hiroshige’s “100 famous views of Edo” or Hokusai’s “100 famous views of Mount Fuji” so the title of this book may not be appropriate perhaps. This book is rather like a series of notes stating why I printed these particular views. I hope this book will be appreciated by those who collect my work.</text>

              <text>C’est le point central de la France, le berceau de la ville de Paris. C’est à partir de ce point zéro, situé devant la cathédrale, que l’on calcule les distances routières en France. Construit en pierre, ayant bénéficié de restaurations régulières, le bâtiment est bien conservé.Bien avant la colonisation romaine, vers 200 av. J.-C., les Gaulois vivaient déjà sur cet îlot sécurisé sur la Seine. La construction de la cathédrale débute en 1163 et s’achève partiellement en 1346. Replacée dans le contexte de l’histoire japonaise, la construction de Notre-Dame commence au moment où TAIRA Kiyomori est devenu le Daijô-daijin, équivalent du poste de Premier ministre, période de pleine prospérité du clan Taira, puis s’achève lors du shogunat des Ashikaga. À cette époque, les sculptures en pierre qui ornementent la cathédrale faisaient office d’encyclopédies. Elles racontaient des scènes de la Bible et décrivaient les événements de la vie quotidienne. Peu de gens savaient lire et ces sculptures permettaient à tous de comprendre. Aujourd’hui, on ne saisit plus la signification de beaucoup de ces représentations. Les déchiffrer est un des plaisirs que je m’offre lorsque je visite la cathédrale.</text>

              <text>This is the centre of Paris. There is a “kilometre zero” point in front of this cathedral from which distances are measured. Before the Romans colonized the country, Gaulish people found this island in the Seine safe and started to live here. They were the first residents of Paris, said to be 2,300 years ago (around BCE200).Construction of the cathedral started in 1163 when the Taira family was in its prime, with Kiyomori Taira becoming a Grand Minister in Japan, and finished in 1346 when the Ashikaga Shogunate ruled Japan. Although the cathedral was made from stone, large-scale repairs have always been required to keep it in the good condition in which we find it now. Various things are engraved on the stone sculptures decorating the cathedral such as quotes from the Bible, the calendar and the way people live day by day. It was written in such way so that anyone who lived then could read and understand. Some things are difficult to understand for modern people but it is interesting to read and decipher them when we visit the cathedral.</text>

              <text>文字通りフランスの中心地点である。この寺院の前にある原点指標から、何キロメートルと、フランス中の距離が測られている。ローマ人が植民地を作る前から、安全そうなセーヌ川中島に、ゴール人の原住民が集まって住みつき始めて、パリの発祥の島。二千三百年昔のこと（紀元前二○〇年頃）だったという。この教会堂は一一六三年から建て初めて、一応一三四六年に完成している。日本の歴史でいえば、平清盛が太政大臣となり、平家全盛のころに始まって、足利幕府の頃に、出来上がったことになる。石造りとはいえ、もちろん常時修復の大工事がされていて、現在までも保っているのである。飾られる石の彫刻群は、当時の百科事典と同じで、聖書のことから、日常の暦、生活まで、文盲がふつうあたり前の当時の人たちに、全てが分かるように、彫られていた。現代では何を意味していたのか、もう分からないことも多いが、読み解くのが、寺院見物の楽しみのポイントでもある。</text>
