Cette deuxième édition contient en fait 105 illustrations, dont chacune est commentée par une note que j’ai rédigée à l’attention des collectionneurs du Paris d’AKAGI. Certains m’ont dit que ce recueil pouvait constituer un très bon guide sur Paris, mais mon idée n’est pas du tout de faire un guide ! Je conçois ce recueil davantage comme les mémoires d’un Japonais à Paris en 2014, retracées sous forme de 100 vues de la capitale. La traduction peut être en anglais ou en français, mais je souhaite que l’original en japonais figure en dessous.&lt;/p&gt;</text>

                <text>This book contains my special selection of 100 views of Paris in lithography. The selection was made by myself from my completed works and may therefore be regarded as my specially edited private collection. I have almost 500 original drawings of Paris after my 40 years of work. The 100 prints I selected for this book were taken from over 100 prints of those 500 drawings. I did not print them especially for this book like Hiroshige’s “100 famous views of Edo” or Hokusai’s “100 famous views of Mount Fuji” so the title of this book may not be appropriate perhaps. This book is rather like a series of notes stating why I printed these particular views. I hope this book will be appreciated by those who collect my work.</text>

版画にしたのか、メモ帖のようなものである。きっとコレクターのみな さんが、便利でいちばん喜んでくださると思う。</text>

              <text>Né en 1494, François Ier devient roi de France en 1515, pays sur lequel il règne jusqu’en 1547. Manifestant une grande admiration pour la Renaissance italienne en plein essor à travers le monde, François Ier invite Léonard de Vinci en France. Il lui offre un château sur les bords de la Loire, le Clos Lucé. Le grand artiste repose désormais au Château d’Amboise. Il ne faut pas ignorer l’énergie de cette jeunesse sensible à la mode, car c’est elle qui permet le développement de la culture et de la prospérité d’un pays. François Ier est ainsi à l’origine de ce qui reste associé à l’image de la France : le pays de la culture et de la mode. Au croisement de la rue François Ier et de l’avenue Montaigne, haut lieu de la mode, on découvre les magnifiques vitrines des boutiques Christian Dior et Nina Ricci. the country until his death in 1547. Famous for his love of the Renaissance in Italy, he invited Leonardo da Vinci to France and gave him a castle in which to live.  Leonardo da Vinci was buried and entombed in France. The vibrant power of youth  longing for the latest fashion/culture must not be ignored. That power determines  the country’s culture and prosperity. The person who created the image of France being a cultured country was this King.The avenue bearing his name and the four corners of Avenue Montaigne are the prime location of the today’s Paris collection. The corners are occupied by the shops of Christian Dior and Nina Ricci. Why not enjoy dressing up and going out for a walk? You will not find a more fashionable street in the world.</text>
